Venison Stroganoff

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. cubed venison from a roast
  • 2 tbls. butter
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tbls. parsley
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:

  • Brown meat in butter
  • Add remaining ingredients except sour cream
  • Bring to boil, simmer on low for 1 1/2 hours; covered
  • Add sour cream
  • Stir until sauce thickens
  • Serve over egg noodles
