Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. fresh cranberries
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • optional addition: pinch of nutmeg

Directions:

  • Wash and drain cranberries
  • Dissolve sugar in water and bring to a boil
  • Add cranberries and simmer on low without stirring
  • When skins burst, remove from heat, stir, and cool
