- 4 qt. small cukes, sliced thin
- 8 small onions
- 2 green peppers, sliced
- 1/2 c. salt
- Cover with cold water.
- Let stand 3 hours.
- Drain and add:
- 5 c. sugar
- 3 1/2 c. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. dry mustard
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
- Bring to boil.
- Add cucumber mixture and let them get hot.
- Pack in jars
Makes 7 pints
