Sugar Cookie Recipes
Chocolate Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 4 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts(optional)
Directions:
- Cream together: margarine, sugars, vanilla
- Blend dry ingredients
- Add creamed mixture to dry mixture; blend well
- Form into rolls 2 inches in diameter
- Chill 1 hour
- Slice 1/8 inch thick
- Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees
Rolled Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2/3 cup margarine
- 2 eggs
Directions:
- Mix dry ingredients
- Cream sugar and margarine until fluffy
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each egg added
- Add dry ingredients and mix well
- Add vanilla, mixing until blended
- Roll 1/8 inch thick, cut with cookie cutters; re-roll waste and cut
- Bake at 375 degrees for 6-10 minutes
Rolled Sugarless Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter; softened
- 3/4 cup sugar twin
- 2 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tsp. butter flavor or use lemon or almond extract
Directions:
- Beat butter and sugar twin until fluffy
- Add flour and extract, blend well and form stiff dough
- Roll between wax paper 1/4-1/2 inch thick
- Cut into shapes
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet
- Bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes
