Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipes
Basic Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipes
- 2 1/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. oleo, softened
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 pkg. Jell-O Brand vanilla instant pudding
- 2 eggs
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 c. nuts, chopped ( optional )
- Mix flour with baking soda.
- Combine oleo, sugars, vanilla and pudding mix in large bowl.
- Beat until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in eggs.
- Gradually add flour mixture, stir in chips and nuts.
- Drop by rounded teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes.
Chocolate Chip Pan Cookies Recipes
- 2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- Combine dry ingredients; set aside.
- Combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla.
- Beat until creamy; beat in eggs.
- Gradually add flour mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Spread in greased 15x10x1 inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
Rolled Oats-Nut-Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
- 3/4 c. white sugar
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. soda dissoved in 1 Tbsp. hot water
- 2 cups rolled oats (not instant)
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 small pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- Stir flour and salt.
- Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
- Blend in soda water.
- Mix in dry ingredients, nuts and chocolate chips.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
Soft Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipes
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. water
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in water
- 1 pkg. chocolate chips
- Mix all ingredients together and drop by teaspoon on greased baking
sheet.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
Makes 3 - 4 dozen
Sugar Free Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1/2 butter or margarine
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. butter extract
- 1/4 cup dry non-fat milk
- 1/2 cup Sweet n Low brown sugar(or Brown Sugar Twin)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- pinch salt
- 12 oz. chocolate chips
Directions:
- Cream together, butter, egg, vanilla, extract, brown sugar, water
- Add flour, baking soda, salt; blend well
- Fold in chocolate chips
- Drop by tsp. on ungreased cookie sheet
- Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees
Wilda Barnett's Chocolate Chip Cookies
This was my mother-in-law's chocolate chip cookie recipe. She loved to bake and she was
a pro at it. She's gone now and we miss her, but you can still enjoy her chocolate chip
cookies. She'd like that.
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp soda
- 2 tbl hot water
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup nuts
- Mix flour with soda and salt.
- Combine butter, sugar, water, and vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs.
Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chips and nuts.
- Drop by rounded teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Chocolate Spritz Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 1/4 cups flour
- 2 oz. semisweet choclate chips plus 2 tsp. margarine melted for topping
Directions:
- Cream together first five ingredients
- Gradually add in flour and cocoa powder until blended
- Chill 10 minutes
- Roll batter on floured board, cut with cookie cutters or use cookie gun
- Bake 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees
- Drizzle melted chocolate chips and margarine(well blended) after baking
Christmas Cookies
Christmas Casserole Cookies
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 1 cup snipped dates
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 1 cup chopped English walnuts
- Beat eggs well.
- Add sugar gradually, beating until fluffy.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Turn into an ungreased 2 quart casserole.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min.
- Remove from oven and while hot, stir well with a wooden spoon.
- Cool.
- Roll into small balls, roll in granulated sugar.
Makes about 36 cookies
Christmas Stellas Recipe
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs well beaten
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Sift flour; measure; add baking powder and salt; sift again.
- Cream shortening; add sugar gradually and continue to beat until light.
- Add well-beaten eggs and blend thoroughly; add vanilla.
- Combine the dry ingredients and the creamed mixture; mix all thoroughly and chill.
- Roll the dough 1/4 inch thick on a lightly floured board.
- Cut into stars and cresents.
- Garnish with bits of candied cherry and angelica or sprinkle with colored sugar.
- Bake in a hot oven (400 degrees F.) 6 to 10 minutes.
Makes about 6 dozen thin cookies.
Crescent Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups chopped walnut meats
- 5 tbls. sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbls. water
- pinch of salt
Directions:
- Cream butter and sugar
- Blend in other ingredients
- Shape into small crescents
- Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes
- When cool dust with powdered sugar
Gingerbread Cookies
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup softened butter or margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 3 1/4 cups flour
- 2 tsp. ginger
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp each; allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt
Directions:
- In large bowl, beat sugar, butter until creamy
- Beat in eggs and molasses
- Stir in remaining ingredients
- Cover and chill 1 hour
- Roll on well floured surface about 1/8 inch thick
- Cut into shapes
- Place on cookie sheet
- Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees
- Cool on rack; decorate with icing
Holiday Squares
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 tbls. vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 can cherry pie filling
Directions:
- Mix sugar and butter in large bowl
- Add eggs, one at a time
- Add flour and vanilla; blend well
- Pour batter into 9 x13 inch glass pan
- Mark off into 15 squares
- Place heaping teaspoons of pie filling on each square
- Bake 50-60 minutes at 350 degrees
- Serve when cool; top with cool-whip if desired
Icing for Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 egg white
- 1 cup Crisco
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- pinch of salt
Directions:
- Combine egg white, Crisco, milk, vanilla, salt in large bowl
- Slowly add powdered sugar; mixing on medium speed until fluffy
- Recipe may be doubled
Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 cup margarine
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 3 oz. box vanilla instant pudding
- 2 eggs
- 3 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
- Optional additions: raisins, nuts, chocolate chips
Directions:
- Mix flour and baking soda in small bowl
- Combine margarine, sugars, pudding mix in large bowl
- Beat until creamy; beat in eggs
- Gradually add flour, blend well
- Stir in oats and optional additions
- Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet
- Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes
