Ingredients:
- 6 cups unsifted, unbleached flour
- 2 packages dry yeast
- 2 cups lukewarm water (not warmer than 100 degrees F)
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Add yeast to lukewarm water and mix
- Add flour and salt
- Knead dough vigorously for 20 minutes
- Coat a large bowl lightly with olive oil
- Place dough in warm place to rise
- Cover with towel for 1 hour
- After rising make dough into two loaves
- Knead again about 2 minutes
- Shape into loaves and place on baking sheet
- Cut top
- Cover with towel and allow to rise again for 40 minutes
- Bake
Temp: 350 degrees F
Cooking time: 30-35 minutes
