Swiss Steak with Rice
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. beef sirloin or chuck steak cut in thin strips
- 2 tbls. olive oil
- 2 tbls. flour
- 1 cloves chopped garlic
- 1 green pepper cut into thin strips(or frozen)
- 1 red pepper cut in thin strips(or frozen)
- 1 small chopped onion or 1 envelope onion soup mix
- 1 Large can of stewed tomatoes (or diced)
- 2 cups cooked white or brown rice
Directions:
- Dredge beef in flour
- In large skillet, brown beef in oil
- Add garlic, peppers, onions
- If using onion soup mix, add 1/2 cup water
- Saute 10 minutes
- Add tomatoes; simmer 20 minutes
- Cook rice according to directions
- Place cooked rice on serving platter; pour contents of skillet over rice
