Sweet and Sour Meatballs
Ingredients:
- Meatballs:
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 1/4 cups bread crumbs
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 2 tbls. worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- Sauce:
- 1 large can pineapple chunks, juice reserved
- 2 tbls. beef bouillon
- 3 tbls. cornstarch
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 1/4 cups ketchup
- 1/4 tsp each salt, pepper,garlic powder
- 1 each; red and green pepper slices(fresh or frozen)
Directions:
- Combine all meatball ingredients.
- Shape into 60-80 meatballs
- Brown in skillet, rolling so all sides are browned
- Place in crockpot
- Pour in juice from pineapples into skillet
- Combine cornstarch with cold water
- Add to skillet and stir until thickened
- Stir in remaining ingredients; simmer for 10 minutes
- Pour sauce over meatballs in crockpot
- Cover. Cook on low for 6 hours.
