Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • Meatballs:
  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 1/4 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tbls. worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • Sauce:
  • 1 large can pineapple chunks, juice reserved
  • 2 tbls. beef bouillon
  • 3 tbls. cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 1/4 cups ketchup
  • 1/4 tsp each salt, pepper,garlic powder
  • 1 each; red and green pepper slices(fresh or frozen)

Directions:

  • Combine all meatball ingredients.
  • Shape into 60-80 meatballs
  • Brown in skillet, rolling so all sides are browned
  • Place in crockpot
  • Pour in juice from pineapples into skillet
  • Combine cornstarch with cold water
  • Add to skillet and stir until thickened
  • Stir in remaining ingredients; simmer for 10 minutes
  • Pour sauce over meatballs in crockpot
  • Cover. Cook on low for 6 hours.
