Cocktail Meat Balls Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp. bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can Campbell's tomato soup
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worchestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce

Directions:

  1. Mix beef, bread crumbs, eggs and salt.
  2. Shape into 50 small meat balls (1/2 inch).
  3. Place in shallow baking pan (13 x 9 x 2 inches)
  4. Broil until brown; turn once
  5. Spoon off fat.
  6. In saucepan, cook onion and green pepper in butter until tender.
  7. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  8. Pour over meat balls for appetizers.
