Apple Raisin Crunch
- 4 medium apples (Granny Smith or Northern Spy)
- 1 cup golden raisins
- 2 Tbl brown sugar
- 1 tsp. grated orange rind
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground allspice
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Grease a 2 quart baking dish.
- Peel, core and slice apples into 1/4 inch thick pieces.
- Combine with raisins, 2 Tbl brown sugar, orange rind, orange juice and allspice in baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, the remaining 1 cup of brown sugar, oats, cinnamon; cut in the butter
until mix is crumbly.
- Sprinkle on top of apples and raisins.
- Bake 30 minutes or until top is golden brown.
