Marinade Recipes
Marinades are not hard to make, and you will save a ton of
money not buying what's on the shelf. "The secret is in the marinade". How many times
have you heard that? Adopt some of these and have your own "secret marinade recipes".
To Marinade is simply to soak meat in a flavoring liquid. The
time the meat is in the marinade depends on the recipe.
Oriental Marinade for Beef
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 tbls. dry sherry
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic; minced
- 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
- 2-3 lbs. boneless steak (sirloin; upper blade; london broil)
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in bowl or zipper bag
- Add beef to marinade
- Cover or seal
- Refrigerate for 1 hour before grilling
- grill
- Discard marinade
Pork Marinade:
honey, dry sherry, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, pork
Seafood Marinade Recipe:
soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine, garlic
Steak Marinade Recipe:
canola oil, lemon juice, scallions, garlic, sugar or splenda, salt, worchestershire sauce, mustard, black pepper
